Jamming It Up - Professional Graphic Designs add Value

In January of 2020 D&A Gardens approached Heartland Promotions to see if we could work together to design professional food labels for their retail products. After our initial discussion, we felt we were on the same page and would continue into the initial design phase. Oh yeah...did I say we had some very tight deadlines?

It was a bit of an adventure to figure each other out...but then that is the fun part of forming business partnerships...isn't it? We persevered through some design changes and eventually the final graphic design emerged. (Not exactly in time for our first deadline but what's a little delay between friends?)



Because we were working with Alberta prairie fruits, not all of them had commercial graphics available. D&A Gardens commissioned a local artist for a couple of the graphics we used. Once they were run through some graphic design "magic" the commissioned pieces were looking great with our other fruit graphics.


Juices, jams, jellies, and pie fillings are all traditional ways to enjoy the prairie fruit throughout the year. The burlap and natural backings reinforces that feeling with it's natural color and texture. Does it remind you of picnics of days gone by?
